How Questro collects, uses, shares, and retains account data, event and project data, audience submissions, billing records, and cookie data, and how to exercise your privacy rights.
Questro collects account information such as display name, email address, authentication identifiers, and settings; the event and project data needed to run your tools, including timer settings, teleprompter scripts, caption and Q&A settings, moderation choices, and the access tokens generated for shared links; audience and public submission data such as questions, display names, and session identifiers when attendees interact with a Questro-powered page; billing records from the payment provider such as plan type, order and subscription status, and renewal timing, with no full card number stored on Questro servers; and limited technical and usage data — device, browser, network, and log information — used to operate the service, secure accounts, enforce quotas, and investigate errors. Browser storage, including sessionStorage, holds temporary operator session state and audience session identifiers.
Non-essential cookies stay off until you choose in the cookie banner; that choice is remembered for twelve months and can be changed at any time from the footer. Questro does not sell personal information. Data is shared only with the processors needed to run the service — Firebase for identity and data storage, Lemon Squeezy for subscriptions, Event Pass purchases, cancellations, and refunds, Vercel for hosting and performance monitoring, Alibaba Cloud DashScope for AI Captions speech recognition and translation, Sentry for error reporting, and, with your consent, Google Analytics and Google Ads for measurement — and with the organizers, moderators, and operators of an event you submit content into, or where disclosure is needed to comply with law, protect users, or investigate fraud.
Information is retained for as long as is reasonably necessary to provide the service and to meet account, billing, security, tax, and legal obligations, with periods varying by data type. Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain processing; Questro also provides an in-app account deletion workflow, after which associated account data is removed or de-identified except for records that must be kept for billing, fraud prevention, security, or legal compliance.
